
TAG Live - Phase One

Concepts Group were appointed by TAG to deliver an internal fit-out project for their new headquarters in Stewartby, Bedfordshire. The objective was to transform an open plan warehouse into a modern, functional workplace that would accommodate office operations while also providing dedicated storage facilities for TAG's extensive collection of props and costumes used in seasonal shows. To support the design process, CAD drawings were produced for both the ground and first-floor layouts, ensuring the space was tailored to TAG's operational requirements.

The Challenge
One of the primary challenges was converting a large, open-plan warehouse into a fully functional headquarters that incorporated offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, and welfare facilities across multiple levels. In addition, TAG required significant storage capacity to house props, costumes, and equipment while maintaining organisation, accessibility, and security. The project also involved coordinating a broad range of construction, mechanical, electrical, and finishing works within a live programme, all while ensuring compliance with building regulations and maintaining clear communication with the client throughout the build.

The Solution
Concepts Group delivered a complete turnkey fit-out solution that successfully addressed both the office and storage requirements of the project. Two mezzanine floors were installed to maximise the available space, creating modern office accommodation, meeting rooms, kitchens, and toilet facilities across the ground and first-floor levels. An additional mezzanine storage area was incorporated to provide dedicated space for props and costumes, including changing rooms, rivet rack shelving, garment racking, and secure mesh-partitioned enclosures.
The fit-out also included fire-rated suspended ceilings, stud and track partitioning, laminate doors, frameless glass partitioning, decorative finishes, and comprehensive plumbing works. New washroom facilities were fitted with bespoke sinks, sensor-operated taps and flushes, LED illuminated mirrors, hand dryers, and tiled finishes. Mechanical and electrical installations included high-bay warehouse lighting, office lighting with PIR sensors, air conditioning, ventilation, and extraction systems. Vinyl flooring, carpet tiles, and fully fitted kitchens completed the internal finishes.
Throughout the project, Contracts Manager Ben Paget worked closely with TAG, managing the programme from initial order through to final completion and sign-off. This collaborative approach ensured the successful delivery of a modern headquarters that met the client's operational, storage, and future business needs.
