Nupsala CT Room

Concepts Group were appointed by repeat client Nupsala MSK, a skeletal specialist veterinary practice in Melton Mowbray, to convert an underused area of their facility into a fully compliant CT scanner suite with an adjoining animal recovery area. The project was delivered in collaboration with GE Healthcare and completed in line with their installation programme.

The Challenge

The installation of the CT scanner required a radiation-compliant enclosure with specialist lead lining, alongside upgraded power and data infrastructure. Due to the scanner’s size and internal location, careful logistical planning was needed, including the temporary alteration of existing doorways to allow safe access, all while maintaining the operational integrity of the practice.

The Solution

Concepts Group delivered a fully lead-lined enclosure with Code 4 and 5 protection to walls, ceilings, door, and viewing window, along with 3-phase power, CAT6 data, and floor trunking to serve the scanner. A dedicated recovery area was completed with vinyl flooring, wipeable units, plumbing for a scrub sink, and integration of a client-supplied recovery kennel. All access alterations were completed and reinstated, and the project was delivered on time to meet GE Healthcare’s critical delivery deadline.
